I watch my arms turn blue
as the moon’s glow kisses my skin,
slowly moving across my body.
I can hear the violins,
their piercing strings
vibrating my bones,
while the cellos rumble
beneath my feet.
The crescendo fills my soul,
settling in my throat,
waiting
for me to join.
I open my mouth
to fill the void around me,
releasing only silence;
nothingness.
So, I claw at my throat,
filling the world
with scritch-scratch nonsense
and my broken blood.
