I look at my fingers
and wiggle them,
knowing that their stupid.
Many years ago
I was living, thriving,
reaching for things,
and simply being.
Now all that’s left
has settled in my fingertips,
wiggling in its stupidness.
I’m good at fooling others
into thinking there’s more,
but there isn’t.
I’m not the girl I use to be,
and I don’t think
I will ever find her again.
All that’s left
are the stupid parts,
wiggling in my fingertips.
